Paddlers Ali Moon callum H Stewart T Stef J Sanne Roddy Will
level Medium – where's the water. 1.3 – SEPA (didn't look at the time but that was Sunday first thing) Plenty of concrete on show at the weir.
Description Was planed as a training trip for the Alps. Considering this, I think it was useful for all involved; wither it was working on their paddling or working out which boat they did not want to take with them. (Stef it was the InaZone you did not like)
We went up to Campsie where everyone worked on some ferry gliding. There were different points people could work on this getting progressively more difficult from river right to left. At this level a nice section for people to work on their tekkers. Plus the main flow at river left helped me, Will and Moon learned how the river can kick your ass. With whirlpools and such this section needs care at any level.
We went down to the weir where people got a little bit of surfing in. Me and Moon decided that the Weir was better than either of us at teaching about edging and such.
A swim for Will at Campsie and Sanne at “the wall?” She then had an actual deck pop (honest) while practising her roll. Then Stewart failed at breaking in at the weir but then rolled. Everyone did good and there was plenty of banter.
It's Stanley what can I say.

Paddlers Laura Wardrope Peter Grant Robbie Clark Thomas Charles Eadsforth
Level: Medium on w.t.w
Some concrete at weir, with over flows at points.
Description:
Plan was to be a little bit of a play, and let Tom and Pete handle lil' cliff. Sadly this did not work out well as this level seemed to wash every play wave out. So with so attempts at the weir, and a few alright wave on the way down to thistle brig, we finally got a half decent wave. The duo excelled its self will keith struggled with the boils and keeping me up right.
In the end a good level for new paddlers, but really not worth it if you want to mess about

Date: 8/12/11 Paddlers:Ce moi Moisseur Thor Young Craigan Leserley the fake veggie Madmois Elle (see what I did there..? ) Y-friend Laauuurraaa M.C. Clinch Dexy's midday rollers Miss "You've done this before" Erin Level: High. 2.2 on wheresthewater, the white stick in the river at the get in was touching three. Either way, we weren't going anywhere near Campsie Linn main line... The Banter:Intended as a technique training trip to Grantully, Hurricane Bawbag had other ideas. The river was high, and we thought Grantully would be washed out with not many eddies, so went to Stanley instead. Good thing we did, the river was pumpin! I've never seen it that high before! And the wind.... Insane! Paddled Got blown upstream towards Campsie Linn, and managed to find a fairly sheltered section where you normally get in to go for a look at/run Campsie, which had a decent flow going down it, and spent the whole time there practicing ferry gliding between an eddy and an island. After a good hour or so of this, everyone had came on nicely, enough for Luke to try doing himself a tailey. In the club Mamba. Rolling ensued. We all lolled. Then a tree got blown down. We decided to call it a day after that, before it got too much wilder and the drive back would have been nasty as. Getting the boats on the roof of the bus was fun enough, much banter was had by me and Will trying to figure out what was so different from the way there. Fixing ensued, wind nearly blew us and the boats of the roof, but we got it working. Brum brum, back to Dundee about 3. All in all, a good trip, with no swims, and no epics. Cheers guys! Ps - sorry I didn't get many pictures Andy - too busy fighting the wind!

Paddlers: Andy Dunny Will Tanya Charlotte Keith Erin Craig Roddy Dexter
Stanley was on a solid Medium level with bouncy wave trains at the weir and Hell hole corner. A good level to test the less confident paddlers and catch out some of the more complacent members of the group. A clean run right up to the get-out where Mr Keith Macleod esq performed an heroic roll causing too much excitement for Charlotte who decided to capsize and swim, to cool herself down. A true technical exit.
A short surf on wee Ericht for Dunny, Will and Andy.
Day was follwed by an epic laser quest and night out, Probably a few sore heads at the Div 3 tournament taking place the next day.
All in all, an enjoyable first paddle for the new year.

Date: 30/04/12 Paddlers: Me Gav Will Elliot Natalie Hannah Dexter Alison Fergus Stewart Lesley Hayley Level: LOW (0.9 SEPA) Description: Was to trip to give people more time in boats before the etive. The plan was to go to stanley and take our time down the river giving alot of practice for people and some messing around. Got on the river and went up to campsie for some messing about in the flow. This is where we found out that dexter doesn't like whirlpools, boat and people chases are tiring and with a big enough cliff will could front loop the habitat. Next was 'the wall' with more eddy line practice. After some time there the river decided it wanted Hayley and Allison to head further down stream, much to their fighting it. The middle of the river was typical Stanley, the odd wave but mostly flat The last rapid was a good finish to the river, so we ran that twice. A long wave train going down river left and cutting across to the get out. Some waves with a large-ish stopper half way down. Everyone managed fine apart from Alison Who decided she was too warm from paddling and needed a dip to cool down. Some messing about at the get out and some practice rolls and that was us done. Swim Count: Natalie - 3 Hannah - 3 Alison - 3 Well done to Lesley and Hayley for completing the river swim free. All in all was a good day and i think everyone would agree a well needed break from exams and revision

And Hayley. Now that's just not cool Craigan, just cause neither of them had any swims doesn't mean they shouldn't be on the river report! :-P

Paddlers Sgt Bash Burgers William and his wish wellingtons Big Steve Murry who was big Steve's mate
Level: it said medium but don't believe the hype
Descripton The plan was just to get out on some form of water a phallus around a bit everyone took playboats except Murry who was in the mamba. I was in the green inazone which I'm well over the weight limit for which meant the front of the boat was underwater alot. So we left the store at about half 2 ish then got on the river and went up to campsie. After a while of breaking in and oot I was in the flow and went backwards into a huge whirlpool ( it was sooo big) then i went vertical and went upside down. I tried rolling but to no avail because I was still being thrown about by said whirlpool so like a fanny i pulled my deck and swam, so in essence i was sucked off by a whirlpool. me and fergus swapped boats after this. Then we headed down the river Murry swam just below the weir when he was breaking in apart from that nothing much else exiting happened.
post river bants Steve lost his throwbag at the get in so we had to go back and get it, then when we got back to Dundee me, will and burgers went to wethers for food. I got a Sunday roast will got a gourmet burger and burgers got a standard burger. other notable points burgers would let a girl shit on him and in fact he would pay her to do it. hahahahahahahaha oh burgers
