Morning, Whilst multitasking (drinking heavily and sunbathing) on holiday, I have been chatting to Herriot Watt UUUUUNAAAAAYYY that we bumped into at Stanley for the new Brookbank open day. They are keen to get together for a paddle and possibly sort out another come SUCCESS with me sort of thing. The few that are still around are competent grade 3/3+ paddlers, but want to challenge themselves with harder rivers.....I put it to them that the Nesk would be a good step up for them and they have risen to the bait. The plan will be a typical afterwork paddle, leaving the store around 5 with the minibus (shouldn't be a problem booking), hitting the nesk, back via McDonald's and then possibly to the union (skint) and then they crash in dundee. Could also make it a weekend if that suits folk better and blast the nesk and the tummel? This is a signal sheet......

I'm in danger of coming along for this, if it's Tuesday/Wednesday and we leave Edinburgh after 5 or so. But can't stay out in Dundee, need to be back that night. I'll keep chatting with HW, see what their chat is about transport. If it would mean taking my car up on my own I can't afford it, but if I can hitch with them, I should be good

That being said, I do like that idea. And the 9th or 10th would suit me :-)

Cool. We'll go for 9th July, heading t the nesk, they can come up here and we can drive them there and then they can head off afterwards. Will, can you book the minibus with racks for that day? It is a Tuesday so if they really want to and we can persuade Gav, we can hit up skint......

They have suggested a Sunday trip, coming up early, blasting nesk and possibly tummel as well.

Boom! Transport organised for Sunday 14th July! Trip will leave early doors, head up to the Tummel to meet Herriot Watt, paddle, leave, head over to Nesk for the ensuing carnage, then back to Dundee and a BBQ if the weather is good. So far we have: Tom Will Ali B Lesley Elliot M slenderman 2 Roddy Alan Rider of the year

I haven't been to the Nesk before. I want to come, but I'm a wee bit scared.
