Here are the updated rules regarding our use of the pool:
The following regulations have been put in place to ensure that no damage takes place to the university swimming pool tiles and surrounds as a result of canoe polo activity. The regulations have been compiled as a result of discussion and agreement between Dundee University Canoe Club and the Institute of Sport and Exercise.
➢ Competitive canoe polo training or matches is forbidden to take place in the university pool.
➢ A maximum of 6 boats will be permitted in the pool during canoe polo training.
➢ During canoe polo sessions, only static drills will be permitted. These will include passing and shooting at the goals. No paddling or boat movement will be permitted during these drills.
➢ In the event of ISE staff being aware of paddling taking place during canoe polo drills and/or their being a competitive element involving canoe paddling, such drills will be stopped immediately.
➢ Continued use of the university swimming pool for non-competitive canoe polo activity as outlined above is dependent upon these regulations being followed by the university Canoe Club.
Please ensure they are followed and dinnae be a dick.
