Any votes for Saturday?
Sunday I've gotta see Tara, my devoted daughter who's booked herself on a windsurfing course and needs a lift to the station on Sunday afternoon!

Oh, and does anyone know if the Tummel is actually releasing on Saturday?
Historically it used to release on Sundays during the summer. (I've done it when there's no release - it's pants! lol)

I tend to agree its not as good but i wouldnt go as far as to say its pants. I have dont the tummel at the full range of levels from low to stonking and have always found it enjoyable (even though the river has a habit if beating me and my kit up) but it is better nearer the big end of the scale.

Nah Andy, low is ok but I did it once when it was on bare minimum compensation flow - it really is pants at that level!

I have done it at that level as well! ...and you would rate it as better than pants?? You must be getting desperate living down there in the flatlands of the South-East! Hopefully see you next weekend

Yeah it is pretty bad! Highlights of paddling trips is normally limited to being attacked by swams!!
Saying that in the local paper a guy drowned when kayaking at a weir down river from where i am. I need to check it out now because as weirs go it was considered fairly safe and simple but i have never been up to look at it to confirm either which way.
